New ownership
Burger was great! Meaty slider with cooked onions. Very tastey. Didnt have any side. Try it out!
Burgers come out of a warmer, already cooked and assembled with pickle, onion, and bun. Nothing cooked to order. Server will ask for payment and tip upon first bite. The place is for sale if you're interested.
Love the customer service it was awesome
Just ordered lunch for all of my employees, food was prepared on time and packaged in well marked containers. They included all condiments and napkins. The little burgers were very tasty and the tater tots were delicious. Great moral booster for the office at a reasonable price!! We will do it again!!
Really good burgers. Reminds me of the white castle taste, only better.
Cant compete food was good but a slider and small fries for over 5 bucks not worth it. They might want to consider changing location and make some other changes.
A place that is a must visit! The burgers are always top notch! The staff are the absolute best! We love visiting, cannot wait to go back!
Atmosphere is awesome but actual hours have been unpredictable. Super fun when it's open.
I love the food and atmosphere. I go as often as I can. But now it closes often unexpectedly so cannot trust it. Many times I go three for lunch and discover it closed. So, five star for place and 1 for availability
Not what it once was, family owning it not doesn't keep regular operating hours, they list as open to find them closed during peak food times.... never used to be closed so often. Food is ok... several rounds of owners have affected price and quality of food.
If it was possible to give this place no stars I would. My girlfriend and I went to Snow White for a nice lunch but instead got a rude server and gross burgers. My girlfriend has a pickle allergy. When she asked for a burger with no pickle the server told her she “can just pick it off it comes that way in the warmer”. The server was just very rude and snotty before we even ordered anything. We already know they are kept in warmers but the previous owner would always do as a customer asks. I can assure you we will NOT be coming back. Hopefully they will hire new staff that actually treat customers better.
I brought my granddaughter Lila Bell for lunch. Lila is the great great grand daughter of original owners J. C. Hall and Nancy Steryous' . Came for lunch and a history lesson. Not the way it use to be....but not bad.
Husband has been wanting these burgers for sometime now and they met his expectations. They were delicious.
All I'm going to say is that we bought 3 mini burgers, (they looked smaller than sliders, though), 1 fry, 1 tot, 1 iced tea, and 2 fountain waters. It cost $20.58. The one mini burger was a deluxe so it came with lettuce and tomato. Yes, they were good but for the price I won't eat here again.
Delicious sliders, quick and friendly service. Dont miss this place if you're visiting Winchester!
Horrible food, worse service just absolutely a sad experience.
The Snow White Grill has been a lovely nice little grill to get a bite to eat. It’s really kinda cozy inside. Clean and seems to always be busy. The burgers are great. I grew up with this eat joint around for a very long time. I think this place is one of the staples of the historical downtown Winchester. It’s been around even before my time. My dad and I use to eat here on the weekends. It’s always nice to stop back in from time to time. Brings back memories. If anyone wants a quick bite then this would be the place for it if in the area.
SMALL BURGERS AND PLATERS FOR A FAIR PRICE OLD STYLE MODERATE PRICE
Excellent experience. Good service, dogs were steamed nicely and staff was good about interacting with customers.
I've been here several times as a child. It was extremely busy around lunch time today and they managed to get me my food within a quick 5 minutes with 6 other people in front of me. I was so impressed, the food was also hot and delicious.
We were told that they offered sliders, however I was unaware that they ONLY offered sliders. The only slider listed on the menu was $2 and we were told verbally by the waitress about the deluxe (which wasnt on the menu) with bacon and cheese. Apparently it was $7.50 for a deluxe (which I only found out after I paid and got a receipt). It was also a 50 cent upcharge for lettuce. Their fryer had just died so we couldnt try the fries but those wouldve been an extra charge as well. Burgers weren't bad...but definitely not worth $7.50 for something the size of half my palm. I should've taken a picture but I hurried up with my appetizer and found a meal somewhere else.If you want friendly service, a nice appetizer and a place to blow some money then go here.
After some bad reviews I was hesitant to go here, but I am glad I did. The wait can be long if they are busy as there is only one grill. The staff is friendly and always checks to make sure the food and service is up to par. It's a cool little Burger Joint in downtown Winchester that I can always count on for affordable and great food.
Good food prices are to exspensive
worst place I ever eat a burger, I was expecting something above and beyond but totally the opposite, the place looks good like in the 60-70's the small burgers are too pricey and the taste terrible I do not like reheated patties or storage, the best service they can do is cook the patties after the order right in the front of customers.
Can here thinking wow I can get a great burger our closed down where we live local but nope rude service I have allergies which don't allow me to eat certain things asked if I could get my burger without the bun server said no you can just take it off was there with my 2 Kids who are not very picky asked if we could get them without the onions said nope they are not allowed to touch them because that's the way they come with pickles and onions but they can add things to them what about the people who are allergic guess they don't matter so won't be going there again so if you have any kind of food allergies don't go to snow white grill because they don't care
Service is a little slow good food tho
Food is decent but the portions are small and it’s a hit or miss whether they are open or not. Do not depend on this listed hours, it literally is a hit or miss. They make their own it seems.
Not too many places left you cant get the bag of sliders. Love it.
Good service nice people love hamburgers
My favorite burger place and brings back so many wonderful memories!
It wasn't the food that was bad. It was rather delicious, but the place didn't have much food left. So we didn't really get to order what we wanted. The people seemed like they were ready to go home. We had to order outside for some reason. At least the strip that its on is very nice. I'm not saying this place is bad, I guess you have to go early. While you there check out the area, lots of cool picture opportunities.
It truly pains me to write a one-star review. After all, their burgers really hit the spot, especially for a quick lunch. Staff is courteous and professional. However, after going there no less than ten times during normal business hours to be either greeted with a closed sign or outdoor-only dining, this review just had to be written.Hours are so bad, I would caution against planning lunch here. Google may say that it's open but once you show up, it's closed.Sadly, I believe this will cause the business to fail - potential customers deserve predictability in hours.I would welcome the opportunity to change my review star rating once I see their own business hours are preserved. The place has so much potential.
I love this place! It has that good home town feel and the workers are pleasant and friendly. Love the good. It's the perfect treat to brighten your day. I also leave that Patsy Cline ate here and all the memorabilia inside. Love it. Don't ever change!
Best sliders I've had in years. This place is a true gem. Feels like stepping back in time. To all the reviews from uppity people with food allergies, go eat at Whole Foods...
Update your hours. I just drove a hour to come here and you’re closed. Was informed by someone out front you close at 3 but how was I to know that ?? Hopefully next time I come you’ll be open and I will be able to rate the food instead of your hours of operation. According to the internet you close at 6 tonight.
The place is at the center of winchester history. Worth a visit.
Great little burgers and fries. Priced pretty well!If you visit you have to try a milkshake - they're delicious!
Food was delicious, serving sizes were more than you can finish. Nice beer selection, and the woman serving provided great service.
Great place love it
Unique experience of tasty lil burgers. Try some and see why people love them.
As every time I've been here for the last 50 years, perfect.
Friendly staff. Great burgers. Go well with brew from broken window brewery around the corner! 😀
The burgers are expensive for a slider. I asked for no onion and pickle and was told we could pick it off. When we picked it off all the cheese came off. It was extremely hard to pick the onion off because the they are cooked. Awful experience and very expensive
A local landmark, famous for sliders. Delicious sliders cooked with bits of onions. Two deluxe sliders with tater tots and a root beer was a little pricey (maybe $20 with tip included), but it's worth it! Plus the location is great, and that section of Winchester is a must for tourists.
My apologies to the Burger Crew. I look forward to having the onion rings on a better, safer day.
I have never been so disappointed, what happened to the sliders? they're not as good as they were once. I also got charged $136.53 for 6 sliders, fries and a coke!!!! and when I tried to call to dispute the charges, the phone number is disconnected and I messaged them on here and 2 hours later there has been no response, nor have they even taken a look at my message!!!!! I will not be going back!!!!!02/2018I would like to let everyone know that the NEW owner is very sweet and she even tried to assist me in recovering my funds however it was not possible! I have not eaten there yet but plan on trying it again!
We got four small burgers, they were decent.
It's a great place to eat tiny burgers.
Hardly ever open and the one time I caught it open the owner was so rude to me I'll never go back. In my opinion all of the 1-star ratings speaks for itself. It's a shame.
I was born and raised in Winchester, I used to always be able to get my hands on some of Snow White Grill's amazing food. Once I moved I never thought I would miss eating there so much! My recommendation would be a few of their Classic fresh beef Sliders (With or without bacon is still flawless), side of their onion rings with their unique sauce and a Brich Beer Root Beer is something you cant find anyway else. I will always enjoy eating here, the interior tells a story and has such a old school feel even with their newer screens. Great music playing generally.I have never experienced food with so much history behind it. Just writing this review is going to make me think about there food all night!
